Synopsis
An international sensation produced in 37 countries, this stage adaptation, based on the Academy Award-winning animated film, features iconic songs by Alan Menken and Howard Ashman, including "Be Our Guest," "Belle," and the titular "Beauty and the Beast," along with new songs by Menken and Tim Rice.The original Broadway production enjoyed a thirteen-year run and was nominated for nine Tony Awards, including Best Musical.The story follows Belle, a young woman from a provincial town, and the Beast, a prince cursed by an enchantress. To break the spell, the Beast must learn to love and be loved before time runs out, or he and his household will be doomed forever.This timeless tale brings the community together for family theater at its finest.
